Lorraine Ruf was admitted to the Bar of the Canton of Vaud in 2003. She advises her clients on succession planning, a field in which she was the first female attorney in the Canton of Vaud to be awarded a Certified Specialist degree by the Swiss Bar Association in 2012.
She counsels her Swiss and international clients on estate planning and represents them in courts. Besides, she acts as an official estate administrator or executor. Lorraine Ruf also practices family law (divorce, temporary separation, alimonies), labor law and gives general contractual advice. Trained in collaborative law, Lorraine’s approach focuses on finding amicable solution to conflicts, also through non judiciary ways such as mediation.
In addition to her lawyer practice, Lorraine Ruf is a member of Vaud public notaries chamber and of the Vaud medical society ethic commission since 2008. She chairs the commission for private law of the Vaud Bar association and sits as an expert for the Bar exams.
Holder of a professional piano diploma, she is involved in the cultural world through musical and literary associations.
